Though i'm a 49ers fan realistically they don't have the stuff that champions are made of this year and the beating they took in Seattle a few weeks back revealed their flaws and weakness. The Seahawks are so freakin hot the damn quarterbacks name is on the football - Wilson!

Gotta love what Peyton Manning has accomplished in Denver this year under the guise of John Elway, the front office, the coaching staff, players and the fans! Three words of caution for Peyton this weekend - beware - "Ray Lewis".

If i were a betting man it would probably be New England/Seattle in the big house down in New Orleans, though i completely prefer a Denver/Seattle matchup.

don't underestimate the loss of seattle's d.e. chris clemons. i hope they get past the falcons and rematch the 49ers but i don't think they will.

here goes...

atla 27 seattle 17 (they're place kicker was just placed on i.r.)
san fran 31 green bay 28

new england 30 texans 26
denver 28 ravens 23

my super bowl prediction has the patriots sneaking past san fran with a gostkowski kick in the dying seconds.

pats 27 san fran 24

"Is this 1998?"

Haha, didn't even realize that. '98 was 31-24, but this time they will each squeak out an extra FG!

Yes, a lot of people have been doubting Green Bay lately, but you can't count them out. Rodgers and Peyton are the 2 best QB's right now, and I see them both making it to the SB. Falcons are a good bet too, but I think Ryan will fall short again. It's the truly elite QB's that consistently bring their teams further than others. All the pieces have to fall into place just perfectly for teams like the Ravens, Falcons, or 49'ers to win it all. When you have someone like Peyton, Rodgers, or Brady, they can almost single-handedly drive their team to victory.

And based on how many times I've heard Mark McGwire's name the last day or so, I think it may just be 1998.

Yep, i appreciate your observations, the only rookie to win in the big house was Kurt Warner with the Rams in 2000 and even though Brady's won three, Peyton and Rodgers one each, defense plays a huge role in post season games, add to the mix the home field advantage, which is also a big plus this time of year.

SF, Denver and Green Bay all play outdoors on grass. Not only is Seattle in the Georgia Dome this weekend, Superbowl 47 is played in the Superdome.

As a KC Griefs fan I'll be cheering against the Broncos, but other than that I won't even watch the playoffs.

As a lifelong Raider fan born in Oakland but grew up in Denver from the age 4 to 14 ( in the height of the Orange Crush but pre Bronco Superbowl era )...... No I don't! I F*CKING hate the Bronco's,their fans ( although I have many dear friends who are Bronco fans ), and everything associated with them. The ONLY thing I cheer for other than my Raiders is to see the Bronco's AND the Patriots lose.

I hope that whoever wins the NFC can beat either of these two because it's almost a lock it will be either Denver or New England.

My condolences to the entire Raider nation for a dismal 4/12 season. Look on the bright side, there's no place left to go but up next year. ( -:

Thanks! Actually we could go 0-16 but it's hard to believe they could digress even more. Hopefully in the next 2 or 3 years they can at least be playoff contenders again.

Denver 17 Seattle 13

Seattle's hot streak will be dampened by the 2 week break after the conference championship game.

and the refs will again be the MVP's of the Super Bowl...just the way it goes for Seattle sports.

For a change a Seattle team has a bunch of punk ass trash talking butt kickers...usually they're too nice to rub it in someones face - cheatin' Pete has had an effect on the sports culture of SEA, see if it changes their luck.

They are a fun team to watch play.

Anonymous hacks the satellite downlinks and plays vice sting footage of cowardly "hero" Roethlisberger's committing attempted rape, followed by 9/11 evidentiary presentations by materials scientist Dr. Judy Wood.
